National Forum on Design in Master’s Level Library Education

University of Washington iSchool, Seattle Washington              March 14th and 15th 2018

Designing Future Library Leaders was an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Grant project that hosted a  National Forum in Seattle, Washington about incorporating design thinking, methods, and principles into master’s level library education.  This forum will was convened by the Syracuse University School of Information Studies and the University of Washington Information School.  The forum was led by Dr. Rachel Ivy Clarke, Assistant Professor at the Syracuse University School of Information Studies, in partnership with Dr. Jin Ha Lee, Associate Professor and Chair of the MLIS program at the University of Washington Information School, with assistance from J. Elizabeth Mills, University of Washington, and Nicole Potter, Syracuse University School of Information Studies.
